George to the Rescue - Home Makeover For Injured Teen appeared in my list of suggestions. I'm glad it did. This is the best video I have seen on RUclips. It reminds me of Ty Pennington's TV shows. This family was deserving of a makeover like George and Team provided, proving many people in this world still have hearts full of compassion and care for our fellow human beings. The family appeared to be making the best of an unfortunate situation and Isaac himself was so positive--all of this before the makeover. When they saw the makeover we could see their joy and deep appreciation. Isaac is such a positive teen with a vision that he can be successful and be self reliant. He will be a great contribution to our country. Best to all of you. George and team, the Lima family, their neighbors, and all who made contributions to this project are an inspiration to all.

Watched maybe 80 episodes of George to the Rescue, this one is so fabulous! In floods of tears! The architect Gordon Kahn should receive an award. It’s a pity that he wasn’t at the reveal, he deserved praise.

The way the basement looked at the start were so heartbreaking, the parent should have made more effort to make it a livable space. I could see no work done for these boys. So sad. Happy that someone made it livable for them.

it's absolutely ridiculous and depressing as a concept, & should be criminal, that a home could be built with a roof life expectancy of only 20 years. there's a very small house on my property, the original home from 1854, i'm right next to the southern ocean in Australia, with all kinds of weather, and that 1854 roof is still going strong. it's such a societal curse that so many homes aren't built to last anymore.

I found it odd, inconsiderate, dismissive, and quite narcissistic how the mom said “MY” and “I HAVE” when telling us about her children with her husband and their father sitting right next to her. It’d be understandable and acceptable if she was being interviewed alone. But most people would say “OUR” and “WE HAVE” when sitting as a couple being interviewed together. Idk. It was weird.

I wish that I had a loving foster like this, but unfortunately I lived with a worthless foster family where there were 6 people in the house all together the 5 other people that lived in the house treated me like s**t I put up with it until I graduated & I cut all ties to the 5 other people the foster parents aren't foster parents aren't foster anymore thank goodness they aren't anymore.

love seeing these Italian American ostensibly tough guys who potentially know someone helpful in waste management be the absolute sweetest when it comes to helping the community, and kids in particular.

there is no upper limit for how much we should fund children's hospitals, everywhere in the world. my little brother had cancer as a baby in the 70s, had radical surgery at Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne and stayed & was treated for a long time, and like so many others, my family's lives would've been forever broken if they hadn't saved him. when a child dies, a whole family and community dies in part too, and we need to always strive to do better for children's wellbeing, and support the healthcare systems that ultimately save us all.

i think that you'd have to have a heart made of stone to not enjoy the warmth, joy, cheekiness and pizazz that Down Syndrome peeps just exude. such awesome human beings!
